Reports suggest that Arsenal forward Lucas Perez is ‘very close’ to joining Premier League side West Ham United (via Di Marzio).
He’s a player who has never really convinced since joining Arsenal two years ago but it looks as if Lucas Perez’s time at the club is coming to a close.
Many believed that the Spaniard would’ve stayed for the coming season considering the fresh start the new head coach has brought in.
However, it now looks likely that Perez will leave before the window closes for English sides later this week.
A number of publications including The Mirror and journalist Gianluca Di Marzio have claimed that the player is ‘very close’ to joining West Ham United in a reported £5 million.
“West Ham is an option, he might leave [Arsenal],” said the player’s agent Rodrigo Lovelle to CalcioMercato.

“West Ham keeps him in London and in the Premier League, and they are a great club.”
The 29-year-old who spent last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna hasn’t been involved in the last couple of preseason fixtures for Arsenal.
It’s a shame to see Lucas Perez leaving the club, especially for that price. The Spaniard has shown glimpses of real quality during his time at the club but if he won’t be playing much football then it is understandable that he wants to leave. However, the Gunners are looking a little thin in attacking wide areas.
