Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal has emerged as a shock summer transfer target for the Spanish side Real Sociedad (via Gol Digital).
Arsenal have lost some of the most experienced players at the club during this summer and if reports are to be believed, they could lose one more.
Reports in Spain claim that La Liga side Real Sociedad are keen on signing Nacho Monreal from the Gunners.
The left-back is currently away at the World Cup with the Spanish national team but has just one year left on his current contract.
The 32-year-old is a reported target for Sociedad with reports suggesting that he is a top target for the La Liga side.

Monreal has been at Arsenal since 2013 and has made over 200 appearances for the club.
It wouldn’t be the wisest move for Arsenal to lose Nacho Monreal. He is an incredibly reliable defender and a vastly experienced player who has also started to chip in with a surprising number of goals. He may be coming to the end of his career but he can certainly play at the highest level for a little while longer.
