Reports in Italy have claimed that Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil has been left ‘saddened’ by head coach Unai Emery and is looking for an exit (via Sport Witness).
Arsenal are on a 21-match unbeaten run but one player who hasn’t really made much of an impact on that form is Mesut Ozil.
The German has missed the last few weeks with a back injury but hasn’t exactly been at his best under Unai Emery.
Ozil has found it difficult to break into the starting lineup and there have been numerous reports of a divide between the player and his head coach.
Now, the Italian publication CalcioMercato has added to that, claiming that the German is ‘saddened’ by Emery’s decisionmaking.
The reports even take things further, claiming that Ozil has been actively looking to leave the club.

The publication has claimed that Ozil’s advisors offered the player to Serie A side Juventus, a proposition which the Italian side promptly refused.
It’s an interesting story but one which is far from confirmed. If these reports are true then the arrival of Ozil’s former Real Madrid teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo in Italy may be the reason why Juventus are cited. It’s clear that things aren’t right with the German playmaker right now.
