Reports suggest that Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey was left “stunned” after being dropped by head coach Unai Emery for the Chelsea match last weekend (via The Mirror).
It was strange to see a fit Aaron Ramsey left on the bench as Arsenal entered an important match last Saturday.
It’s hard to imagine the Welshman not playing against Chelsea last Saturday had Arsene Wenger been the club’s manager and according to the English press, there is an answer.
The Mirror and the Daily Mail have both claimed that Ramsey was “stunned” by Emery’s decision to drop him for the Chelsea match.
Emery’s reasoning, according to the same reports, was that the Spaniard was left unhappy by Ramsey’s performance against Manchester City the week prior.
Ramsey wasn’t alone in that regard but it comes at a time when the Welshman is locked in contract talks with the club.

In reality, it’s great to see these kinds of stories. Players should be held accountable for bad performances and the fact that Ramsey was left “stunned” at being dropped after a poor one just goes to show how low the levels of accountability are at Arsenal. Let’s hope it continues and players like Aaron Ramsey prove they are deserving of a place in the team.
