Reports in Spain suggest that Sevilla are growing increasingly worried over the possibility of midfielder Ever Banega joining Arsenal (via Sport Witness).
It’s becoming clearer that Ever Banega is a real transfer target for Arsenal as manager Unai Emery looks to rebuild this current squad.
The midfielder turns 30 later this week but reports suggest that he could spend the start of his fourth decade away from current club Sevilla.
We reported earlier that the midfielder has been contacted personally by new head coach Unai Emery and it seems that this has got his current club rattled.
Spanish publication Marca claims that Sevilla are growing increasingly worried that Banega could soon lose the man who has a €20 million release clause in his contract.
It is reported that Banega was upset by Sevilla’s decision to sack the club’s sporting director Oscar Arias.

It’s interesting to hear these reports that Sevilla are worried about the possibility of losing Ever Banega. The player has a release clause in his contract so if that is activated, there is very little that his current employers can do. Banega would be a solid signing for Arsenal and would add a lot to this squad.
