The transfer of David Ospina to Besiktas is reportedly being delayed as Arsenal are attempting to get more money from the Turkish side (via Sport Witness).
With Petr Cech seemingly set to be the club’s number 1 and Bernd Leno waiting in the wings, there doesn’t seem much of a place for David Ospina.
The Colombian stopper has made 70 appearances for Arsenal since joining the Gunners from Nice in 2014.
However, some poor performances and the signing of Leno has drawn some doubt over his place in the Arsenal squad.
Ospina has been linked with an exit from the Emirates all summer long but that amplified last week with reports that the 29-year-old had agreed to personal terms with Turkish side Besiktas.
Now, reports in Turkey suggest that the only reason the transfer hasn’t gone through is that the Gunners are attempting to get more money from the deal.

Trt Spor has claimed that the transfer is an initial loan deal with an option to buy but that an outright purchase is still a possibility if Besiktas can raise the funds.
It’s time for David Ospina to move on from Arsenal. The Gunners now have two better options to pick from in goals and Besiktas would be a good move for him.
