Reports in Turkey suggest that Fenerbahce is ‘dreaming’ of signing Arsenal Mesut Ozil in the summer transfer window (via Sport Witness).
Go back a few months and it seemed like just a matter of time until Mesut Ozil’s time at Arsenal came to a swift end.
That still may be the case but in recent weeks, the German has been reintegrated back into the starting lineup and is performing well for Unai Emery’s side.
The 30-year-old is still under contract for another two seasons but Arsenal were said to be considering selling their top earner.
That is perhaps where these reports come from with the Turkish publication Aksam suggesting that Fenerbahce are ‘dreaming’ of signing Ozil in the summer.

It isn’t revealed whether or not the Turkish side could afford to complete the transfer but suggests that Arsenal wouldn’t stand in Ozil’s way if he chose to leave in the summer.
Mesut Ozil is a childhood Fenerbahce fan and has spoken in the past about his desire to one day join the Turkish side. Ozil is finally finding some form at Unai Emery’s Arsenal. If a transfer can be arranged then The Gunners would surely consider but it’s doubtful whether that could ever happen given Ozil’s salary.
