Reports in Italy suggest that Unai Emery has identified the player he wants to replace star midfielder Aaron Ramsey at the club (via Sportsmediaset).
If these last few days are anything to go by, it now seems assured that this will be Aaron Ramsey’s final season at Arsenal.
The Welsh international joined the club from Cardiff City back in 2008 but last week, it was announced that he will not be signing an extension on his current contract at the club.
With that in mind, a replacement needs to be found for Arsenal and reports in Italy claim that they know exactly who that is.
Italian publication Sportmediaset has claimed that the Gunners head coach Unai Emery has told the club that he wants to sign Piotr Zielinski.
The 24-year-old midfielder is a Polish international who plays his football for Napoli in Serie A.

He has had no shortage of potential suitors in recent seasons and Arsenal are seemingly the latest in a long line.
The paper does, however, suggest that Napoli would be unwilling to negotiate a deal for the midfielder following the loss of star man Jorginho to Chelsea during the summer.
Piotr Zielinski is a hugely talented player, as evidenced by his showing in the 2018 World Cup. He was one of the only standout players in an otherwise disappointing Poland team. It will be difficult to make any deal happen, especially in January.
