Laurent Koscielny is enjoying another superb season in defence for Arsenal which is highlighted by the fact he has made just two fouls so far this campaign.
According to BBC Sport, the France international has been penalised for just two fouls this season, despite having made nine Premier League appearances.
However, both of those fouls have come against the same player – Chelsea striker Diego Costa – during Arsenal’s 3-0 win over the Blues back in September.
Certainly Koscielny is one of the few defenders to enjoy success against Costa, the Spain international has returned to form with a bang this season and is the leading goalscorer in the Premier League, with eight ahead of Romelu Lukaku and Sergio Aguero.
Koscienly is enjoying a new partnership with summer signing Shkodran Mustafi in defence but the former Valencia man has far more fouls to his name that the Frenchman.
Mustafi has conceded eight fouls this season from seven appearances in the top flight, although not bad going as he adjusts to life in new team, a new league and a new country.
