We obviously expected to be mocked by Manchester United fans and players following our hugely disappointing 3-2 loss against the Red Devils, but now the Barcelona boys are getting involved in the action too.
Gerard Pique joined Wayne Rooney in taunting us following the game, by retweeting one of the Manchester United man’s tweets directed at Piers Morgan.
Rooney simply tweeted “hi” to the celebrity ‘Arsenal fan‘, which while not the most savage of insults is clearly a jab at the journalist’s expense.
In all honesty, we deserve to be mocked for our performance against Louis van Gaal’s side. We really should have destroyed them, and having opened up a far stronger side with three goals in 20 minutes in the reverse fixture, we were expected to dominate.
We did anything but though, and despite scoring two goals, we really didn’t threaten all that much. That combined with a lazy display and a complete lack of desire meant we never really looked like taking all three points.

Still, it seems a bit unnecessary for Pique to get involved in the post-match-mocking, made a little more frustrating by the fact we just lost against his side in the Champions League a few days prior.
