Alexis Sanchez has reportedly asked for permission to leave Chile’s training camp as rumours over the forward’s future intensify.
According to TV13 in Chile, the Arsenal star asked to leave the group in order to attend to personal matters, shortly after arriving from London.
The news comes amid speculation Arsenal have been offered cash plus Raheem Sterling for the 28-year-old, who is out of contract next summer.
It also follows in wake of other rumours that Sanchez has put in a transfer request, which was reportedly denied by the club yesterday.
With just days left to go until the transfer window closes, it’s little surprise to see the rumours surrounding Sanchez increasing.
Arsene Wenger has repeatedly insisted the club will not sell their talisman, and are prepared to see him walk away for free next summer instead, if he does not extend in the meantime.

Sanchez is currently in South America which is bound to complicate the process, but if he does agitate for a move now, it would be interesting to see how the club reacts.
While it’s difficult to say whether Sanchez will still be an Arsenal player on September 1st, what we can guarantee is that this is not the last we will hear of this saga before the window closes on Thursday.
