Alexis Sanchez has admitted to rushing himself back from injury after sustaining yet another injury setback during their 2-1 win over bottom placed Leicester City on Tuesday night at the Emirates.
In a cryptic tweet posted last night after the victory, Sanchez tweeted:
Sometimes the love for the game and anxiety to be on a football pitch works against you ⚽️

Right then, back to serious business. The talismanic summer acquisition, who had been out of Premier League action for the past two weeks due to a hamstring injury missed the emphatic home win over Aston Villa and the trip to White Hart Lane for the North London derby on Saturday.
The Chilean international suffered a knock on his knee and from that moment on was a shadow of his usual spectacular self, exhibiting a below par performance that prompted Arsene Wenger to replace him in the 68th minute.
During the post-match press conference the gaffer admitted that he wasn’t too sure about his star forward’s availability for the next match against Middlesbrough in the fifth round of the FA Cup stating:
“Sanchez got a knock on his knee. I don’t think he was himself. From the moment he got this knock, he was never really comfortable. I don’t know for how long he will be out and whether he will be out or not. I haven’t seen the doctor. “
The £30m summer acquisition from the Camp Nou has established himself not only as a pivotal member of Arsene Wenger’s squad, but also as a fan favourite hence sending shocking waves through worried fans.
Whether his withdrawal during the match was as a result of a minor knock or a serious injury is yet to be seen. Nonetheless, the big question on everyone’s mind is, ‘Is the charismatic forward being overworked?’
