Alexis Sanchez has admitted that living in London can be “stressful” as speculation over his Arsenal future continues.
Sanchez has spoken recently about his contract extension negotiations, insisting that it “depends on Arsenal” and not him athough he did also say he wants to win the Champions League and the Premier League with the Gunners.
The Chile international has now revealed a little about his life in the capital and admits it can take its toll which, unfortunately, will do little to quell the current speculation surrounding his future at the club.
“I like to go to London to eat something or have a drink with my friends,” Sanchez told the Arsenal magazine. “However, I am a very home-loving person and I spend a lot of time at home.
“I do explore the city if I have the time for it but normally I would rather stay relaxed at home. London can be a stressful place because it’s crowded and it’s a big city.

“Our routines as footballers can be energy-consuming too. You play one game after another, meet new people every day and travel a lot. That is why I try to disconnect and relax as soon as I get some time off.”
While Sanchez’s words seem fairly innocent, in the current climate they are bound to only add to the rumours concerning his future – an increasingly tiresome saga, and one the club could do without as they look to get their title challenge back on track after two straight defeats.
