Alexis Sanchez reportedly wants £400,000-per-week to remain at Arsenal, according to the Mirror.
The report claims Arsenal have already offered a new deal worth £275,000-per-week, but Sanchez is now asking for a huge pay rise.
Sanchez’s wage demands have already scared off Bayern Munich, leaving Manchester City as the only real contender for his signature.
However, Arsenal do not want to sell to a Premier League rival and therefore now have a problem, particularly if they do not want to cede to his demands.
The club would then be left with the option of selling him in this transfer window or allowing him to continue for one more year, before leaving for free next summer.
Sanchez is currently on holiday following his involvement in the Confederations Cup with Chile, where he helped his side to the final, where they were defeated by Germany.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have today confirmed the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette for a club-record fee and may well be hoping his signing can help convince Sanchez to stay at the club.
Lacazette scored 37 goals in all competitions for Lyon last season and looks to be a very exciting signing for the Gunners.
