According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are preparing to let Yaya Sanogo leave on loan for the remainder of the season after engaging in initial talks with French side Bordeaux.
Sanogo has made just three Premier League appearances this season and is yet to open his domestic account. He has however started two Champions League fixtures, scoring his first competitive goal for the club in the vital 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.
Being a player who continually struggles with injuries, Sanogo has often missed out on further opportunities to play and with the return of Olivier Giroud to full fitness and signing of Danny Welbeck the remainder of this season could be a write-off for the France U21 star.
Crystal Palace and Lorient have also been accredited with interest in the former Auxerre frontman, however according to talk in France it appears Bordeaux are closest to securing the 21-year-old.
Sanogo is at a point in his career where he requires regular game time in order to improve and realize the immense potential Arsene Wenger believes he possesses.

A deal to remain in London with Crystal Palace seems a far more sensible option, but maybe a return to his homeland will be a more suitable environment to build his confidence with regular minutes.
