Santi Cazorla has lavished praise on Arsenal’s performance against Liverpool, the club’s biggest win over the Reds since 2006, claiming that it’s our togetherness that has helped produce such a wonderful run of results.
Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud all scored as we dismantled our top-four rivals at the Emirates Stadium, much to the delight of Cazorla, who believes the win will give us a massive boost heading into the remaining fixtures.
He told our official website: “It’s a very important win for us because Liverpool are with us fighting for the Champions League.
“Liverpool have very good players with Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho but the team played very compact and played together, which is very important for us. When we defend together, we always win.
“The confidence is high for everyone and we need to play the same now we have a week of rest, and then we need to prepare for the next game.”

We’ve now won our last seven Premier League fixtures and sit second in the table, seven points behind Chelsea who have a game in hand. With the Blues still to come to the Emirates, an unlikely title bid could still be on.
However, unlike our London rivals we’re still fighting on two fronts this season, with our FA Cup semi-final against Reading also just around the corner – though the Blues did of course claim the Capital One Cup. Our Wembley visit is preceded by our next game, away to relegation strugglers Burnley.
