Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has reserved praise for team-mate Olivier Giroud and has stressed that the Frenchman is crucial to how we play.
Cazorla and Giroud were both on target as Crystal Palace were overcome and the Spaniard was particular about how important Giroud is to our game.
The Palace midfield put the likes of Cazorla and Francis Coquelin under immense pressure and on a horrific pitch, the only solution was to go long to the front-man.
“He’s very important for us in these games, because we sometimes need to play long balls,” Cazorla told Arsenal.com
“He can keep the ball and [draw] fouls, and he’s a good header of the ball. He’s in a good moment and I hope he’ll continue to play the same way.”
Giroud is in sensational form away from home and vital to our team play, scoring 11 goals from his last 13 starts.

Arsene Wenger has this week challenged to improve his goal ratio and it seems as though the Frenchman has accepted the challenge and has gone from strength to strength.
With games coming thick and fast in three competitions, we could certainly do with Giroud keeping up his scoring record to aid the firepower coming from Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck.
