Arsenal will eventually conclude a deal for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin this summer, editor of The Sun Charlie Wyett told talkSPORT (via the Metro).
Wyett is the Sun’s designated reporter on Arsenal and has broken some exclusive news in the past, as the Metro suggests, so his latest comments are to be considered.
As well as Schneiderlin, Wyett expects us to conclude a deal for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech in a double swoop, which will hopefully give us a massive chance of clinching out first Premier League title since 2004.

“I think Morgan Schneiderlin will be joining Arsenal,” Wyett was quoted as saying by the Metro.
“He would be a good signing along with Petr Cech.”

Having appeared to be the most obvious signing given his position and nationality, the very fact that Schneiderlin isn’t already at our club seems rather odd.
In many ways, it mirrors the talk surrounding Loic Remy last season, with Wenger expected to make a move that never materialised.
However, Schneiderlin was one of the standout players from last season and his arrival would certainly enhance our squad further.
With a major tournament coming up at the end of next season, Schneiderlin may be hesitant to join a club with the number of midfield options we have for fear of a lack of game time.
