Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has kept himself grounded and admitted that there is still more he can improve on despite a great performance at the weekend.
The Pole made a couple of crucial saves in the Premier League match against Sunderland that preserved Arsenal’s fragile 1-0 lead until the final whistle and secured all three points.
Despite his heroics, he was still not satisfied with his performance citing his need to better deal with crosses into the box.
Szczesny is quoted as saying by ESPN Soccernet:
I made a couple of saves that helped the team win the game and I’m happy for that but there is a lot of work still to be done.
I still struggled a little bit on crosses so I would have been happier with a faultless performance.
Szczesny has certainly had his share of ups and downs this season, much like how the Arsenal team as a whole have performed this campaign.
Personally, I have a huge issue with the way he tends to dilly dally with the ball at the back despite huge pressure from opponents. This was no better illustrated against Liverpool where Suarez read him like a book.

The Pole will certainly be facing a huge test against Bayern Munich in the Champions League and will have to be at his best to keep the German giants scoreless. Hopefully it will be a massive victory for the Gunners!
