Arsenal target Serge Aurier has admitted that it’s his dream to play for the Gunners and says he wouldn’t refuse a move to the Emirates if the opportunity presented itself.
The Ivory Coast international has been impressing at Toulouse this season with his adventurous displays at right-back drawing admirers from all over Europe.
The 21 year old has long been long linked with a move to Emirates and has been touted as a potential replacement for Bacary Sagna, with the Frenchman looking increasingly likely to leave when his contract runs out this summer.
The defender has done his best to keep talk of a potential move to Arsenal firmly in the spotlight and has posted a picture of himself wearing an Arsenal shirt on his holidays last summer. He has once again admitted he couldn’t turn down a switch to the Gunners if the opportunity came about. He said:
Arsenal, I couldn’t refuse. You can ask any player if he would play at Arsenal, I think he would respond positively without hesitation.
It is a mythical club, we know that many French have marked the history of the club. It is sure that Arsenal are my dream.
He is a versatile defender who can play both as a right wing back and also as a centre-half. He has excelled in both roles, but the wider position is definitely his better role, as his determination and tractor like engine helps him burst forward and support the attack.
The youngster is big and strong enough to take on the strongest centre-forwards, plus his speed helps him combat whatever threat they possess. He still has a lot to work on as far as the defensive side of his game goes but the modern full-back seems more concerned with attacking rather than defending and Aurier lives up to that description perfectly.

He is now a regular part of the Ivorian national team having ousted Emmanuel Eboue from the right-back role and this summer would be the perfect time for Arsenal to bring in Aurier.
The Gunners need to prioritize renewing Sagna’s contract first then bring in Aurier to bolster our defensive options. He may still have the time to develop and under the guidance of Wenger, it is clear he has the potential.
