Possibly one of the most anti-Arsenal pundits around, Micheal Owen has yet again been critical of Arsenal ahead of our trip to Liverpool this Wednesday evening.
In his prediction column on Bet Victor, the ex-Merseyside man tipped an injury plagued Liverpool side to get a draw against Arsenal. This is despite the erratic form they’ve been showing under Jurgen Klopp, the key players set to miss the game in midweek, and the form of the current league leaders.
“We will know more about the Gunners and their title aspirations after their trip to a Liverpool side who have scored just 22 goals in their 20 PL games to date,” he wrote.
“No Alexis Sanchez for the league leaders who will have to stand up and be counted at Anfield; a draw might suit Arsene Wenger more than Jurgen Klopp and I think both sides will have to settle for a point.”
It’s hard to argue that Owen is undoubtedly one of the worst pundits in the game, and anyone who listens to his betting advice must have a screw loose.
Liverpool may have received a few injury boosts in defence, with Mamadou Sakho and Kolo Toure potentially returning for the game (via the Liverpool Echo). They’re still without a few key individuals though, and you have to imagine the returning stars won’t be quite at full fitness.

Not only do we have one of the meanest defences in the league this season, we’ve also scored more goals than most teams in the Premier League too.

We obviously have injuries of our own, and given the level of competition, a win is never guaranteed in the Premier League. It’s the repetitive, continuous, bordering on banal anti-Arsenal analysis of Michael Owen, who has yet again surprised nobody with his biased predictions.
