Czech striker Martin Graiciar has agreed a deal to join Arsenal from Viktoria Plzen, with Arsene Wenger the main factor in his decision to make the switch to the Emirates, according to the Metro.
The 15-year-old was a reported target for Real Madrid and Chelsea, but we have won the race for his signature, and he will be flying to London to complete his medical and finalise the deal.
We had tried to sign the young forward last season, but the deal never materialised. An improved offer has seen us secure his services however, and he should be joining up with his new teammates very soon.
Graiciar took to Facebook to confirm the move, and thanked Wenger for making it happen.
“Wenger is the one who made this possible,” he wrote.
While the talented teenager may have a bright future ahead of him, he is not the signing Arsenal fans were hoping to see. With so many deficiencies in the squad, as well as injuries in key areas, let’s hope that the boss will now be focusing his attention on signings that could improve the first team.
