Arsenal play their first pre-season game against Singapore XI on Wednesday, and the boss has confirmed that the team will most likely include the players who started training at the beginning of last week.
“In the first game, we’ll have the players who have come in last Monday,” Wenger told Arsenal Player.
“We’ll have a very strong team.”
This means that a number of young stars and fringe players will be making an appearance, and we’ve decided to list the players who could catch the eye in Singapore.
Arsenal transfer news
Here are six players who fans should watch out for in our first pre-season friendly.
- Arsenal ready a £25million bid for a ‘rising star’ of Dutch football
- Arsene Wener to return to dugout since leaving Arsenal in 2018
- Arsenal target ex-midfielder transfer after four years apart
6) Alex Iwobi
Originally a wide player, Iwobi was moved into a central position during the back end of last season for the U-21s and developed into Chuba Akpom’s replacement.
Iwobi is currently on his first pre-season tour with the first team and his progression over the past few years will be interesting to analyse.
