Our newfound financial clout means we are capable of being (and must be) far more ruthless in the transfer market, and if a player needs to be sacrificed so we can improve the squad, then it needs to be done. This could well mean it’s last chance saloon for a number of Arsenal stars, and the 2015/16 season could be their last opportunities to show Arsene Wenger they have what it takes to succeed at the Emirates.
From young players looking to make their mark at the club, to ageing stars who haven’t yet fulfilled their potential, a number of Gunners need to make a big impact in the upcoming campaign if they are to cement their places.

The former Manchester United man may only have been at the Emirates a single season, but he is already running out of time to prove himself. He had a somewhat indifferent campaign in 2014/15, with the fans’ major gripe being that he doesn’t score enough.
The fact that he can’t get into the team (as a striker at least) ahead of Olivier Giroud – who many fans believe is not good enough to lead the line for Arsenal – suggests to me that if he doesn’t improve fast he won’t have much a future at the club.
He has been used largely as a right-winger so far, and we could unquestionably improve on the England international if we dipped into the transfer market.
