We have recently been linked with one of the most highly rated young midfielders in football, with William Carvalho a top target of ours (via the Mirror).
The Portuguese star was even named Player of the Tournament at this year’s Euro 2015 U21 Championships.

He’s not the only promising young midfielder in the game at the moment though, and there are plenty of other players we should be keeping our eyes on.

6) Youri Tielemans – Anderlecht
The young midfielder is hugely creative, and is a shining light in Anderlecht’s midfield – despite his age.
Although usually he prefers to sit deep and pull the strings from there rather than bombing into the final third, the fact that he is equally capable of playing the long ball or getting forward means he is incredibly difficult to deal with.
He looks destined for greatness, and I can’t see him remaining in Belgium for much longer.
5) Maximilian Arnold – VfL Wolfsburg
Arnold is one of the most promising attacking midfielders in the Bundesliga, and looks like a real star of the future.
He is great on the ball, creative, has a fantastic shot on him, and is a tireless worker. The German U21 star is comfortable playing in a deeper role as well, and is definitely one to keep an eye on.
