We have been linked with a whole host of talented stars ahead of the summer transfer window, and will hopefully be seeing some new arrivals this summer. That would be great for Arsenal fans, but not necessarily for some of the first team players who might find themselves displaced.

A couple of players may well find their positions under threat even without new arrivals, as competition is stiff in the squad at the moment.
Below we’ve made a list of six first team Arsenal stars who may well be under pressure in 2015/16:
6) David Ospina

The Colombian has only been here a single season, but he is already being linked with a move away from the club (via The Independent). He wrestled a starting spot from Wojciech Szczesny in 2015, but will surely be dropped – if not sold – upon the seemingly imminent arrival of Chelsea’s Petr Cech (via the Independent).
5) Per Mertesacker
I can’t see the giant German being dropped completely in 2015/16 – especially not initially – but we may well see his role in the team diminished. Gabriel Paulista looked solid when deployed this past season, and will be looking to force his way into the starting XI. Laurent Koscielny is unquestionably our best defender, so Mertesacker would presumably be the one to make way.
