Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has claimed that “not one” Arsenal player would get into Chelsea’s starting lineup (via Daily Mail).
Both sides showcased some of their strengths and weaknesses during Chelsea’s 3-2 victory over Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
This Gunners team is blessed with some fantastic players but apparently not, according to one Sky Sports pundit.
In his Daily Mail column, Jamie Redknapp has outrageously claimed that not one of the Gunners’ players would get into Chelsea’s starting lineup.
“Looking at the Arsenal team, not one of their players would get in Maurizio Sarri’s best XI,” Redknapp claimed.
“At the heart of defence, Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis don’t look a partnership.
“At full back, Cesar Azpilicueta is both more solid defensively and more creative in attack than Hector Bellerin while Marcos Alonso has been impressive since his debut in 2016.”
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the best player at the club and Redknapp did discuss his claim.
“Aubameyang is the player who would get closest to this team. He will be a star but when given two big chances on Saturday, he froze.”
It’s ridiculous to claim that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a man who has scored 110 goals in the last three years “will be a star.” Alvaro Morata only scored one more Premier League goal than Aubameyang last season despite the Arsenal man making his debut in February. Chelsea have some fantastic players but Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Lucas Torreira and Nacho Monreal would all get into their squad.
