Wojciech Szczesny looks like he could be on his way out of the club this summer, with Sky Sports reporting a loan move to Serie A side Roma is on the cards.
With Petr Cech’s arrival, one of Wojciech Szczesny or David Ospina seemed likely to depart, but all signs pointed to the Colombian being the one to make way (via the Express).
With Szczesny’s home grown status and his longstanding relationship with the club, it seemed unlikely Arsene Wenger would let him leave. So despite Ospina only being at the club a single season – and displacing Szczesny from the No.1 spot – you wouldn’t have been surprised to see him head straight back out the door.
Sky Sports news claims that the Pole is set for a loan move to Roma ahead of the 2015/16 season though, and while they insist we are still in “early negotiations”, it certainly looks to be a possibility.
A report in the Metro claims the deal is already done, so we could be seeing the 25-year-old on his way out of the Emirates sooner rather than later.

Arsenal transfer rumours
The fact that it is a loan move suggests Wenger still has faith in the shot-stopper and that he potentially still sees him as a future Arsenal No.1, but he is unlikely to see much action if he were to remain in North London. He has shown glimpses of real quality at times, but he currently seems to lack the maturity to be our undisputed first-choice keeper.
