Good Morning. As you will know Arsenal has been in search of a central defender this transfer window and Winston Reid’s name has cropped up pretty much every day.
A few weeks back I had written that a good friend of mine who happens to be a West Ham Legend mentioned that he was sure that Reid would be joining the Gunners in this window.
However AllArsenal sources have now been categorically informed that Reid will not be joining us or any other side before the 2nd February. He has decided to play out his contract till the summer but it is understood that Arsenal still lead the race for his services.
This would then at least show why we have moved for Paulista so quickly over the last week or so and it looks like we are trying to get that tied up quite quickly. As I mentioned on Monday the win over Man City was a god send for our transfer dealings this January as it allowed us to get on with business this week rather than worrying about any negativity that would have surrounded a bad result. We have officially unveiled Krystian Bielik and Paulista hopefully will follow soon. I would then expect that we will get on with football proceedings fully by the time Aston Villa come to the Emirates on 1st February, just 1 day before the window shuts.
Don't Miss:

I would not expect any last minute trolly dash by Wenger this window, and in my opinion if he can tie up the Paulista deal, I think with the emergence of Coquelin and the back up option now of Bielik Arsenal fans should feel quite satisfied with his business.
