Southampton are reportedly poised to make a £15 million bid for Arsenal star Theo Walcott in January transfer window (via The Metro).
It would be a homecoming twelve years in the making if this transfer deal were to be completed in the January window.
Theo Walcott swapped Southampton for Arsenal in January 2006 and twelve years later, he could seal a return to his boyhood club if these reports are anything to go by.
Walcott has been a hugely important player to Arsenal during the past twelve years, making close to 400 appearances for the club.
However, the winger has fallen out of favour of late and is yet to start a Premier League match this season.

His performances have largely been reduced to cup and Europa League football and now, the Englishman is being heavily linked with a move away.
Southampton are reportedly at the front of the queue with a £15 million bid reportedly enough to bring about a homecoming of sorts.
It would be a shame to see such a long-term player leaving the club but it’s probably for the best. Theo Walcott is almost a part of the furniture at the Emirates but with the way things are going right now, that isn’t exactly a good thing to a team in desperate need of a shakeup.
