Spanish magician Santi Cazorla has been a breath of fresh air since arriving on these shores and a stat which appeared on the club’s official Twitter confirmed exactly that.

Cazorla marked a change of policy for us and despite the high-profile arrivals of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez after him, our little maestro was a marquee signing in his own right.
Coming into the side fresh after clinching his second European Championship title with Spain, Cazorla’s sensational talents were recognised worldwide.
Internally, it seems as though the players were immediately excited following his first training session.
“I remember his first training session”, Francis Coquelin recently recalled (via The Guardian).

“Everyone knew: this one is from another planet. If you’re someone who doesn’t love football, you will love it after looking at him.”
This compels the comments made by former skipper Thomas Vermaelen who was the first to shower Cazorla with immense praise long before we got the chance to see him strut his stuff.
“Cazorla has trained two or three times and he fits in really well with the Arsenal philosophy and how we want to play,” the Belgian told Arsenal Player.
Cazorla has been moved across the forward positions during his time here but the position he now occupies may have unearthed qualities we didn’t realise he possessed.
The Spaniard has stunned many with his all-action displays and is now the complete midfielder alongside Coquelin in a double pivot behind Ozil.
