Arsene Wenger has been criticised for his inactivity in the transfer market, but at least what he has done he’s done well. Statistics show Petr Cech has been the best shot-stopper in the Premier League so far this season, with the Czech international saving a massive 81.58% of the shots he’s faced, as reported by The Evening Standard.
Cech has looked a fantastic signing, and he’s been hugely impressive whenever he’s been called upon. Although his performance against Manchester United may have gone under the radar somewhat given the displays of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, and Mesut Özil, but he made a few vital saves to preserve our clean sheet and keep the momentum in our favour.
He’s beaten out the likes of Manchester City’s Joe Hart and Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris, with top keepers like David de Gea nowhere to be seen on the list.

The 33-year-old also looks to have added a certain level of stability to our back line through his composed and commanding nature, and the whole team looks more assured of themselves with the Czech international between the sticks.

Arsenal transfer news
The signing looks to have massively paid off, and shows that Wenger prefers to go for quantity over quality. Hopefully he can keep up this level of performance throughout the season, and help guide us to Premier League glory in his debut season at Arsenal.
