Our Champions League group stage opener is fast approaching, with a trip to the Stadion Maksimir to face Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb on the 16th of September our first port of call.
Arsene Wenger has named the squad that will look to topple Zagreb, Olympiakos, and Bayern Munich over the coming months, and there are one or two surprises in his selection.
The usual suspects are all present, but there are a number of youngsters who look set to be handed a chance as well. Joel Campbell and Matt Macey have been named among the A list, but the biggest news is that 17-year-old Jeff Reine-Adelaide has also been included.
There are also several youngsters included in the B list (a player may be registered for the B list if born on or after 1 January 1994, and has been eligible to play for the club for two years since his 15th birthday), with Deyan Iliev, Hector Bellerin, Tafari Moore, Stefan O’Connor, Glen Kamara, Chris Willock, and Alex Iwobi all named.

Reine-Adelaide has already been turning out for the U21s this season, and his performances during the Emirates Cup suggest we could be see him in the first team sooner rather than later.
He looks to have all the physical attributes to thrive in the Premier League, and boasts plenty of talent to go with it. The versatile young winger looks to be one of the most talented starlets we’ve seen in a long time, and hopefully we see him break through this season.
Arsenal transfer news
We shouldn’t rush him into the senior squad and risk injuring him – as we’ve seen with the likes of Jack Wilshere – but if he’s ready to step up then so be it.
