Wojciech Szczesny could be set for an Arsenal exit this summer, with Dutch giants Ajax lining him up as a replacement for Manchester United target Jasper Cillessen, as reported by the Daily Star.
We currently have three quality goalkeepers on our books, with Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina dropping down the pecking order following the arrival of summer signing Petr Cech.
Due to Szczesny’s long term relationship with the club as well as his home grown status, Ospina was the obvious candidate for an Emirates exit – despite only being at the club a year.
It seems now that the Pole could be the set for a departure however, with the Star reporting that Ajax have made an enquiry.
The report suggests that United’s deal for Cillessen is all but complete, with the Dutch keeper lined up by Louis van Gaal as a replacement for the potentially Real Madrid bound David de Gea.

The Daily Mail claims Arsenal legend Marc Overmars has already been in touch regarding the transfer of Szczesny to Ajax, but it’s unclear whether a deal could be done.
You might argue that a loan move – if that’s even a possibility – to the Eredivisie could benefit Szczesny, and would mean we are able to keep all three of our keepers. The 25-year-old would benefit from regular first team football, and we would be left with two excellent first-choice shot-stoppers in Ospina and Cech.
