Arsene Wenger has revealed new signing Mohamed Elneny will be available for selection for Sunday’s match against Stoke City, while Alexis Sanchez remains a doubt still despite returning to fitness.
Alexis Sanchez has been unavailable since sustaining a hamstring injury against Norwich City back in late November, suffering a setback prior to Christmas that has ruled him out since.
Wenger confirmed the Chilean is fit and working hard in training, however he has yet to decide whether Sanchez will be part of the match day squad this weekend.
The Gunners boss also revealed there are no fresh injury concerns following Wednesday’s intense 3-3 draw away to Liverpool, and fans could well see new signing Elneny in action at the Britannia in the coming days.
Wenger revealed in his pre-match press conference (live via Arsenal.com): “Apparently we have no injuries from the liverpool game.”
“[On Elneny] He is available for selection. I haven’t decided yet.”
