Arsenal take on Manchester United on Sunday with a top-four place and automatic qualification to the Champions League on offer.
United are five points in front of the Gunners who have a game in hand and will surely need to win at the Emirates if they are to overtake the visitors.
Arsenal, however, will have to do it without Granit Xhaka. Arsene Wenger gave his regular pre-match press conference on Thursday and revealed that the Swiss midfielder will miss the clash.
“We still have Granit Xhaka out from the kick he got in the game,” Wenger revealed, claiming there is little chance he’ll be fit. “It’s a kick to the calf.”

It’s a blow for the Gunners but it wasn’t all bad news from Arsene Wenger. The boss revealed that David Ospina is back in training and he’s not alone on that front.
“Mustafi’s back in normal training,” Wenger went on. “Lucas Perez is back in training as well. That’s basically it.”
It’s a huge match at the Emirates and Wenger’s men absolutely have to win it. The Gunners have five points to gain on United and even if they do that they could still finish fifth. It’s out of Arsenal’s hands and the only thing they can do is win their matches and hope the other clubs slip up. Unfortunately, they’ll have to do it without Granit Xhaka.
