It seemed as if Arsenal had lost another key defender to injury on Sunday afternoon when Hector Bellerin limped off the field.
Yesterday, we reported Unai Emery’s claims that Bellerin would be absent for “some weeks” with injury but it appears as if that is not the case.
Arsenal have their second North London Derby in less than a month on Wednesday night as they take on Spurs in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.
Now, the club has revealed that Bellerin is “being assessed” ahead of the match which means that there is a slim chance he could feature.

Sead Kolasinac and Shkodran Mustafi are also being assessed ahead of the match while Stephan Lichtsteiner has been ruled fit to play.
Even if Hector Bellerin is fit enough to play on Wednesday night, it would probably be a better decision to leave him on the sidelines. Arsenal have a lot of Premier League football to play over the festive period and they will be better off with the Spaniard fit.
