Things haven’t been great at times for Arsenal this term but that is all put to one side because it’s time for the first North London Derby of the season.
Arsenal v Spurs promises to be more than just a match for Gunners fans on Saturday and now, Arsene Wenger has given his team news ahead of the clash.
“Mustafi will have a final check [on Friday], Welbeck as well. I’ll make decisions on all of them [on Friday].

“We still have some people coming in today. They’ll have a medical check today and a recovery check.”
It’s the first match back after the international break for most of the Arsenal players but Arsebe Wenger was asked why Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud were sent back early from the France squad.
“It was needed for [Koscielny]. We couldn’t use him for a number of games, he just came back against City because he had an Achilles tendon injury. If he had played in midweek, he certainly would not have been available for Saturday.
“Olivier picked up an injury, and I don’t think he will be available for Saturday. It is short term and he should start [training] on Monday, we will have to assess him then but I don’t think he will be available this weekend.”
So, it’s mixed news for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal. The Gunners could welcome back Shkodran Mustafi and Danny Welbeck for this crucial North London Derby but will be without the likes of Olivier Giroud. Let’s hope Arsenal can put their mixed form to one side and triumph on Saturday.
