Arsene Wenger has said that he doesn’t expect any new players to return to the Arsenal squad ahead of the Carabao Cup semi-final with Chelsea (via Arsenal.com).
Arsenal are just two wins away from a fourth Wembley final in five years but it doesn’t feel like it for many Gunners’ fans.
Regardless of the atmosphere at the Emirates, there is no stopping the buildup of matches right now as the Gunners prepare for their Carabao Cup semi final against Chelsea.
The first leg takes place at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening and now, Arsene Wenger has given his team news ahead of the clash.
“We don’t recover anybody unfortunately,” Wenger said in his pre-match press conference.

“I believe that on Sunday we paid the price for having many injured players. Some needed to be rested but we also had five or six players injured.
“That’s a bit detrimental to the rotation as well.”
Wenger was then asked if any of the players were likely to return for the Premier League match against AFC Bournemouth next Sunday but claimed that they were not.
Arsenal have had a good time on the injury front this season but it seems to have come to a head in the last few weeks. A number of key players are missing right now and it doesn’t look like they will be returning tomorrow. Let’s hope that changes in the coming weeks.
