Palace’s form has greatly improved under manager Roy Hodgson in what promises to be a tough match for the Gunners.
Now, Arsene Wenger has given his team news ahead of the clash.
“Nacho Monreal is out of course because he got injured [against Liverpool], Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey are out as well and that’s basically it,” Wenger revealed before going into more details about the Spaniard’s injury.
“Nacho Monreal, I would say hopefully 10 days.
“Giroud, as I said before, is four to six weeks, but he is a quick healer so I am hopeful he will be less. Aaron Ramsey should be back at the beginning of January.”
Wenger was asked about a potential return date for Olivier Giroud and named “the 10th of January or 15th” as a possible timeframe.
Arsenal now play five matches in the next 13 days so it’s good to see that there aren’t any further injuries picked up by the club’s key players. Let’s hope things stay that way with some rotation necessary in the coming weeks.
