The German starlet featured last weekend at Crystal Palace and drew the penalty that opened the scoring for the Gunners, however he sustained an ankle injury during his cameo, consequently missing the Capital One Cup in mid-week.
There is some good news however as Mathieu Flamini’s groin injury is potentially not as bad as first suspected and he could return for next weekend’s trip to Manchester.
Mikel Arteta is also set to return to the lineup (see predicted lineup here) after serving his one match suspension in mid-week.
Wenger revealed the following team news in his pre-match press conference:
Basically we have just Arteta back. Gnabry will not be available. Flamini is a short-term injury. Maybe he will be back for Manchester United.
