Arsene Wenger has fielded a strong, senior side with youngster Serge Gnabry receiving the nod at the expense of Theo Walcott for Saturday’s Emirates Cup match against Napoli.
Jack Wilshere starts alongside Aaron Ramsey with Tomas Rosicky completing the midfield trio. Lukas Podolski starts on the left with Olivier Giroud leading the line.
At the back Carl Jenkinson starts on the right, with the first choice centre halves in Koscielny and Mertesacker chosen. Gibbs starts on the left.
Gnabry’s inclusion will certainly excite as the young German is certainly pressuring towards first team inclusion this season but he must take his chances today. New signing Yaya Sanogo will not be included today neither will Santi Cazorla, both are expected to be included in Sunday’s fixture.
Making the bench are the two standout youngsters, striker Chuba Akpom and midfielder Gedion Zelalem who will be keen to play some part in today’s processions.
