Arsene Wenger has given his team news ahead of the Premier League clash with Middlesbrough and revealed that a couple of players could return. Both Petr Cech and Laurent Koscielny are back in training and have a good chance of returning (via Arsenal.com).
Injuries are the least of Arsenal’s problems right now but Arsene Wenger has given some good news on that front.
The Gunners take on Middlesbrough on Monday night and the boss has confirmed that Arsenal could welcome back both Petr Cech and Laurent Koscielny.
“From the last game, I believe that we have a chance of getting Petr Cech back in the squad,” Wenger confirmed in his pre-match press conference.
“Laurent Koscielny is joining in today. If their tests are positive, they will come back into the squad for Monday’s game.
“Ospina and Perez are still out.”

The boss was then asked how likely it was for Arsenal to name Cech and Koscielny in the matchday squad.
“Eighty per cent. At the moment it’s pretty good, but sometimes the 20 per cent can play a villain’s part in the final preparation.
Hopefully, Wenger’s comments prove to be accurate and the defensive pair joins back up with the squad for Monday’s match. Laurent Koscielny was sorely missed from the Arsenal defence and Petr Cech even more so.
