After initial reports were suggesting that the Gunners squad would be strengthened with the return of Vermaelen and Sagna, it seems both will not be available for the blockbuster tie with Manchester United on Sunday.
Wenger has revealed that noone else has returned from last weekends fixture against Swansea, meaning that Arteta will also not make a comeback. Arsenal may however be boosted with Henry overcoming his midweek injury as the French manager has admitted there is no new team news.
Wenger told arsenal.com:
Before Sunday’s game nobody will come in so we will have now to focus on the players [we have].
I will assess the situation after the game on Sunday but until then nothing will happen now for us.
So, the injury news are as follows:
Defender Thomas Vermaelen (calf) and midfielder Mikel Arteta (calf) are not fit. Strikers Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho are away at the African Nations Cup. Defenders Francis Coquelin (hamstring), Kieran Gibbs (groin), Bacary Sagna (ankle), Carl Jenkinson (back) and Andre Santos (ankle) are all still out, along with midfielders Abou Diaby (hamstring) and Jack Wilshere (ankle).
Provisional Squad: Szczesny, Koscielny, Djourou, Mertesacker, Miquel, Song, Ramsey, Arshavin, Walcott, van Persie, Henry, Almunia, Rosicky, Arshavin, Squillaci, Benayoun, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Park, Yennaris.

This is a big blow for the Gunners as the defence needs the quality and experience of both Sagna and Vermaelen to have any real chance at detaining Uniteds fierce attack. Good news on Henry though.
What do you guys think Sundays result be? Common you gunners!!
