Arsene Wenger has given the latest update ahead of Arsenal’s weekend clash with Swansea City. The Gunners travel to Wales on Sunday to meet Garry Monk’s side on the back of a disappointing draw at home against Anderlecht.
The news as ever is quite mixed. Mikel Arteta who left the field on Tuesday clutching his hamstring is out for the Swansea game but should be available after the international break. Wilshere is back while Laurent Koscielny has an outside chance to be back after the break.
The positive news is that Giroud will be in full training next week and given he’s three weeks ahead of schedule, that’s a massive boost. Giroud, if everything goes well, should be in contention for the Dortmund game. Ozil, Debuchy and Ospina are showing signs of progression but none will be available till the end of the month atleast.

Arteta will be out for Sunday. He has a mild hamstring strain and he will be out for a short period because it’s a grade one. He should be back after the internationals. Giroud joins in training next week.
Jack is alright, he is back in the squad for Sunday. Debuchy, Ospina and Ozil are progressing very well, but of course they are not available before or straight after the international break. Koscielny has a little chance to be back after the international break.
This is the last international break of the year and hopefully everyone comes back with two legs, two hands and eyes, head everything intact. With the busy festive period coming up the fixtures will be coming thick and fast. This period makes or breaks teams. Players are returning from injuries and this may be our last chance to catch up with league leaders Chelsea.
