As usual in every transfer window, we’re set to be busy towards the final week and after Arsene Wenger revealed that he expected new additions (via the Dail Mail), The Telegraph’s Jason Burst believes that we’ll see Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak arrive.

Krychowiak has been heavily linked with us over the past couple of weeks with reports suggesting that we’re weighing up a move which could see us activate his release clause (via The Evening Standard).
Francis Coquelin’s emergence has clearly had an effect on Wenger with that position no longer seen as a desperate need, although we could be in serious trouble if the Frenchman misses a game.
Our last Premier League fixture may have altered Wenger’s thinking. With Coquelin running the risk of being shown a red card and no adequate replacement on the bench, we suddenly looked threadbare in that area.

Mikel Arteta looks like he’ll be used sparingly this season and given that Mathieu Flamini hasn’t been included in any of our matchday squads so far this term, it could be fair to say that he’s surplus to requirements.
Upon reflection, we’re probably more in need of a holding midfielder arriving than a centre-forward, but both positions ideally require strengthening.
