We battered West Brom 4-1 on Sunday, and here’s some key points from the match ahead of the FA Cup final next weekend…
1) Theo Walcott has staked his claim for his place down the middle
The Englishman scored a magnificent hat-trick in space of just 34 minutes and has staked his claim for the place down the middle. He looked lively, sharp, clever and venomous. Hopefully he’ll sign a new contract with Arsenal as soon as possible to put speculation to bed… With Olivier Giroud being out of form and given that Walcott has scored against Villa in the league, he might get the nod for the FA Cup Final on 30th May. His first goal today was Batistuta-esque, a powerful shot across the goal that the keeper couldn’t do anything about while his second goal showed cleverness and quick feet.
2) Jack Wilshere looks “like a new signing”
If there is a Mr. Arsenal in our team, it’s Jack Wilshere. He is all about Arsenal and it’s great to see him back to his best. He has had too many injuries in the last few years but hopefully it won’t be the case next season. His drive, passion, energy and technique got a fine reward with a cracking goal, and he was also involved in our stunning fourth, too.
