Arsenal fans aren’t best pleased with Arsene Wenger’s inactivity in the transfer market at the moment, but club legend Thierry Henry insists there is still time for business to be done, according to his column in the Sun.
Like many, Henry has been vocal about his desire to see Arsenal make signings (via the Sun). He mentioned that in Wenger’s defence however, transfers are not always as smooth as many think, and for one reason or another a deal is not always possible.
The player turned pundit claims we could still see a new face or two through the door though, and believes Wenger would still like to make at least one more signing.
“I’m sure he would have liked to sign at least one more player. Maybe another central midfielder and a striker,” Henry wrote.
“Sometimes, the players you need will not come for various reasons and maybe this has been the case.
“Also, there are still a few days left of the transfer window for something to happen at Arsenal.”

As Henry says, a striker and a midfielder are our top priorities. Francis Coquelin and Olivier Giroud have been superb servants for the club, but we need backups – or replacements – in both positions. Both men have been hugely important to our recent success, but we can’t rely on them to be fully fit and in form for the whole season.
