With Gabriel Paulista completing his switch to Arsenal, the Emirates is abuzz with chatter concerning our newest acquisition. Thierry Henry is the latest to chime in with his opinions on the player, and spoke very highly of the Brazilian, as reported by the Daily Star.
The recently retired Frenchman still has a huge amount of faith in Arsene Wenger, and is confident his compatriot still knows what is best for Arsenal.
He believes the manager has identified an area of weakness at the club, and has gone out and found the solution in Gabriel Paulista.
“Arsene knows what he needs,” he said.
“He obviously thinks the team is lacking a centre-back.

“Arsenal are going to get a young but polished player. I’ve heard he is a special talent.”
The 24-year-old’s signing has looked imminent for days now, but with a number of obstacles in the way it seems to be taking longer than expected.
Paulista is unlikely to slot straight into the team, especially with Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny fully fit. He may however, be the long term solution to the defensive frailties we have suffered from in recent years.
The likes of Nacho Monreal and Mathieu Debuchy have been forced to act as makeshift centre-backs this term, highlighting the lack of strength in depth Wenger has in the role, hence his move to capture Paulista.
