Arsenal legend Thierry Henry celebrates his 38th birthday today and the world of football has gathered to wish him well given the Frenchman’s legacy in the game.
Henry retired from football in December 2014 after a four-year stint at New York Red Bulls and has since taken up a position at Sky Sports as one of their main pundits.
Despite appearing for many top European clubs, Henry’s peak years undoubtedly came during his time with us, and just how he was never awarded a Ballon d’Or is one of football’s greatest travesties.
Henry was also a major part of arguably the greatest club team we’ve ever seen with Barcelona’s all-conquering 2008/09 side, cementing his place among one of the greats.
Arsenal transfer news
Along with his punditry duties, Henry has recently taken a more serious role coaching our U-18s side (via the Metro) with our record goalscorer taking the necessary steps to becoming a manager.
